ModigenceVision expands its perception module business for physical AI

Before an AI can decide, it has to read the space in front of it. THE ELEC reports on the company’s plan to scale up perception modules that bundle camera hardware, the sensing pipeline, edge AI processing, and system integration, and on a pre-A round opening in March.

ModigenceVision is expanding commercialization of perception modules for physical AI, THE ELEC reported on February 24, 2026. The company’s premise: judgment algorithms can only be as good as the perception underneath them, and unstable spatial perception is what keeps AI out of factories, warehouses, and service sites.

Perception here means a machine reading its surroundings the way a person does: stable coordinates, distance, shape, and motion, so that grasping, moving, and avoiding happen without error. However refined the decision algorithm, unstable perception limits what can be deployed.

The company bundles camera hardware, the sensing pipeline, edge AI processing, and system integration, aiming at the accuracy, latency, and ease of integration a site demands at once, rather than supplying a sensor alone. With global technology partners it is combining 3D perception with on-device AI, and it is refining a modular perception architecture on data from earlier robot and smart-system projects.

A pre-A funding round opens in March, following demand and partnerships confirmed at CES 2026, to build production capacity for the modules and enter key industries faster. Discussions with several global investors and strategic partners were under way; proceeds go to production infrastructure and hiring.

Physical AI can be commercialized only once a perception layer works reliably on site. We combine accurate 3D perception with real-time edge processing into a solution that can be applied on the floor immediately.
