ModigenceVision won the Mobility & Smart Cities category of the Supernova Challenge, the global startup pitch competition at the center of GITEX Africa 2026 in Marrakech, Morocco, held April 7–9, ET News reported on April 16.
GITEX Africa is the largest ICT and startup event on the continent. This year it drew about 1,450 companies from 145 countries, and about 500 startups competed in the Supernova Challenge. The company entered with its AI-based spatial perception platform and was judged on readiness for real industrial sites and on its value as a building block for smart cities.
Two partnership MoUs followed on the exhibition floor, with global startups whose technology overlapped with the company’s. Both are expected to lead to joint development and commercialization. The company already works with partners in Germany, France, and Belgium.
The company took part as a company supported by the Korea-Africa Foundation, which helps Korean firms enter African markets and build local networks. The category win carried a $10,000 prize and kept a streak: a Korean company has won a category every year since the competition began in 2023, News Journal 1 reported from Marrakech.
Winning on a global stage like the Supernova Challenge confirmed once more that our 3D vision technology is at a global level.
